SIGNey: A Virtual Sign Language Interpreter

SIGNey is a virtual sign language interpreter developed by Sonant. It is a free Android application designed to assist users in translating text and scanning images for translation into Indian sign language.

To translate text, simply click on the "Translate" button and a dropdown or pop-up menu will appear. Type the text you want to translate and it will be displayed on the screen.

For scanning images, click on the "Image to text" button and select the image containing the text you want to translate. Press "OK" and then click the translate button for the translation to appear on the display.

SIGNey also provides a reporting and suggestion feature, allowing users to provide feedback on any issues or suggest improvements. If you find any corrections or want to enhance the quality of the sign, you can press the report and suggestion button, record the correct sign, and send it back to the developers.

If you encounter any issues while using SIGNey, you can navigate to the "Help" or "Support" section within the app and find the option to report an issue or record a problem. Simply click on the "Record" button to start recording and describe the problem as you encounter it.

SIGNey is a valuable tool for Indian sign language translation and works in collaboration with Indian Railways to make railway stations accessible for deaf travelers by installing the Digital Sign Language Information System (DSLIS).
